Ingredients

Instructions

Ingredients (for 1 serving):

  • 2 dl coconut milk (sugar-free, thicker variety)
  • 1 dl water
  • 1.5 tbsp 100% cocoa powder
  • 1–2 tsp erythritol / coconut sugar / maple syrup (to taste)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • a pinch of cinnamon (optional)
  • a pinch of salt (enhances the flavors)

Preparation:

  1. Heat together the coconut milk and water in a small saucepan.
(The water loosens the coconut milk, making it creamy but not too heavy.)
  2. Add the cocoa powder, your chosen sweetener, vanilla, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Whisk thoroughlyto prevent lumps. If you want it even creamier, blend it with an immersion blender for one minute.
  4. Bring to a boil for 1–2 minutes, until completely smooth and glossy.
  5. Pour into a mug and, if desired, sprinkle with a little cinnamon or cocoa powder.

🌿 Tips to make it even more delicious:

  • 1 tsp hazelnut spread → Nutella-like flavor
  • 1 square of sugar-free dark chocolate → extra creaminess
  • coconut cream on top → a frothier version
  • a pinch of chili → an adult, spicy variation
