Detailed product description

Delicatino Amanda Tradicional Yerba Mate tea 500g

Amanda Tradicional is a traditional, Argentine, medium-cut mate tea variety with stems. It is a pleasant, mild mate, making it recommended for beginners discovering the world of mate. It is a product of the La Cachuera S.A. manufacturer located in the Misiones province. Misiones is the easternmost and smallest province of Argentina, a region often referred to as the "capital of yerba mate." The company was founded in the early 1900s by Juan Szychowski, a Polish immigrant who settled with his family in Apostoles and began cultivating mate tea.

Product features:

  • Elaborada con palo: long-aged, stemmed mate (with a slightly higher dust content)
  • Added ingredients: contains only yerba mate tea
  • Characterized by a pleasantly understated simplicity, in which fruity, sweet, and tobacco notes can be discovered.
  • Medium-cut
  • Mild variety

About mate tea:

Mate tea is a traditional drink of the peoples of South America (especially in Argentina and Paraguay). It has traditionally become widespread as a general health and well-being improver, as well as a tea that boosts both physical and mental freshness. Thus, it can be used for immune support, slowing signs of aging, purifying the blood, reducing stress, and alleviating insomnia, while simultaneously boosting metabolism. Nowadays, mate tea has also come to the fore due to its positive effects on weight management: it can be considered a slimming drink. Yerba mate has a thermogenic effect, which is why it is an excellent drink as a natural energy booster to accompany high-intensity workouts.

Effects of mate tea:

  • on the nervous system: It acts as a regulator: it stimulates a fatigued nervous system while calming an overexcited one. Our knowledge of mate's effects is currently limited, and observations have only focused on behavioral changes. According to these, vitality and concentration increased, while tendencies toward nervousness, excitement, and anxiety, as well as mental and physical fatigue, decreased. It is an effective mood enhancer, especially in cases of depression. Of course, this can be a direct or indirect result of increased energy levels.
  • on the stomach and intestinal system: Results testify to an immediate and significant improvement in digestion and the regeneration of damaged, diseased stomach and intestinal tissues. Occasional or chronic constipation can easily be resolved by consuming mate. It seems that mate achieves its effect mainly by softening bowel contents, but to a certain extent, it also stimulates normal intestinal motility.
  • on the heart: Many types of heart complaints have been prevented by the consumption of mate because it provides most of the nutrients necessary for heart function. In addition, it increases the oxygen supply to the heart, especially during stress or physical exercise.
  • on metabolism: Mate has become a favorite drink of bodybuilders and anyone who exercises. Among its effects on metabolism, it is worth mentioning that it maintains the breakdown of carbohydrates during physical exercise. This results in more calories burned, increases the efficiency of blood circulation, and hinders the buildup of lactic acid, i.e., muscle soreness. In Germany, it is also very popular as a general slimming agent.
  • on the immune system: A recurring conclusion in South American literature is that mate strengthens the body's immune responses and increases natural resistance to diseases. This results in faster healing and recovery.

The main active ingredient in mate is mateine, a cousin of caffeine. It has a similar stimulating effect but does not cause addiction or insomnia. It similarly improves mental performance, but lacks the dullness that appears on the downswing of caffeine's effect. It regulates the nervous system, which is why a calming and stimulating effect can be experienced simultaneously. It is very similar to green tea but contains far more micronutrients. It contains significant amounts of minerals (potassium, magnesium, manganese, sodium), vitamins (A, B1, B2, and C, as well as riboflavin), and polyphenols. It was particularly quickly liked by athletes and those working in computer science. The former because mate maintains the breakdown of carbohydrates even during sports, which provides more energy while detoxifying and aiding weight loss. The latter because it increases mental performance without causing the jitters, and one can still sleep afterwards. Western medicine has not yet discovered mate for itself, but initial experiences show that it has an immediate effect on damaged, diseased stomach and intestinal tissues. It also helps in their regeneration. It has also shown good results in the treatment of chronic constipation. It reduces the tendency toward nervousness and depression and is a good mood enhancer. Mate tea contains high concentrations of polyphenol antioxidants.

According to the Journal of Food Science, dried mate leaves contain 92 mg of chlorogenic acid antioxidant per gram, without catechins, thus its antioxidant properties are significantly different from other teas. According to some studies, mate contains 90% more antioxidants than green tea.

Mate tea is excellent for: * Dieting * Mood improvement * Fat burning * Stimulating the brain * Increasing antioxidant levels * Improving concentration and memory * Diabetics * Improving liver function * Instead of coffee

Dosage, instructions: Do not use water hotter than 70 °C
