White bean pod - Phaseoli pericarpium

Can be used in cases of diabetes to lower blood sugar levels and for weight loss, to alleviate symptoms of diabetes, for kidney diseases, to prevent kidney stone formation, as a diuretic, for bladder ailments, mild joint complaints, weak heart function, high blood pressure, and to replenish fluids in case of dehydration. It is also used in washing water to refresh wool garments.

Preparation: Add 2 tablespoons of bean pods to 5 dl of boiling water and boil for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat, cover, and let it steep for 15-20 minutes, then strain. Consume this amount throughout the day. It can be taken as a course of treatment for a maximum of 2 months continuously; if necessary, another course can be started after a few weeks' break.
