Detailed product description
You can also replace traditional sugar with this high-sweetening-power sugar type. You can use it in various ways in your meals: you can make excellent creams and cakes with it.
Its name originates from the Latin word fructus (fruit), and it is listed as Fructosum in the 8th Hungarian Pharmacopoeia. This is the origin of its other common name, fructose. Fruit sugar is found in its natural form in fruits and honey, whereas in the human body, it is only found in trace amounts: for example, in the blood. It is frequently used for making chocolates, candies, syrups, jams, and canned fruits. Outside of the food industry, the pharmaceutical industry also prefers using it to sweeten various medicines.
Through enzymatic action in the body, fruit sugar is converted into glucose, so fructose is also utilized; however, it raises blood sugar levels more slowly than glucose after consumption. Since it is converted directly into glycogen and triglyceride in the liver, insulin is not needed for its breakdown. Its sweetening power is much stronger than that of beet sugar, so a smaller amount is sufficient to achieve the same sweet taste. Thanks to this, we can not only reduce our energy intake by consuming it, but it is also a budget-friendly alternative. It is precisely because of these properties that it is popular in several types of diets. We can use it in various ways when preparing our food. It is heat-resistant and can withstand high temperatures, so it can be used for both baking and cooking. It binds moisture well, and cakes made with fructose stay fresh longer. Soups and sauces can also be sweetened with this type of sugar, and it is also a great choice for ice creams and creams.
