Gluten-free bamboo pasta - Penne
Penne is an Italian pasta whose name derives from the word “pen,” and is one of the rare types of pasta whose origins have been well documented. 😊 In 1865, pasta maker Giovanni Battista Capurro made it in San Martino d'Albaro. Today, two main varieties are recognized: smooth penne lisce and ridged penne rigate. Traditionally, we recommend preparing it al dente; it is excellent for dishes with sauces (pesto, marinara, arrabbiata).
