Zingiber officinalis: 100% pure and natural
Main constituents: Zingiberene, β-sesquiphellandrene.
Potential allergenic components: Citral, limonene, linalool, geraniol.
Plant origin: Madagascar
Extraction method: By steam distillation from ginger rhizomes.
Botanical background: Ginger is a tropical plant that grows up to 1 metre tall. Its flowers resemble orchids.
History: Ginger has been known in Asia and India for more than 5,000 years. Interesting fact: Due to its medicinal properties, it was considered a magical plant in the Middle Ages and was also a common ingredient in love potions.
Aromatherapy use idea: It is associated with countless medicinal properties and is also used to treat sexual fatigue and impotence.
For a massage blend: 4 drops of ginger essential oil, 4 drops of ylang-ylang essential oil, and 15 ml of vegetable oil (e.g. argan oil).
Precautions for use:
Flammable. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with the product and eyes. Use of the product is not recommended for children under 3 years of age or for pregnant and breastfeeding women. It is safer to avoid applying cosmetics containing essential oils to the skin before sunbathing or using a sunbed. Do not use undiluted on your skin. Essential oils are recommended for external use only.
