Detailed product description
Cymbopogon winterianus: 100% pure and natural essential oil.
Main constituents: citronellal, geraniol, citronellol.
Possible allergenic components: citral, citronellol, eugenol, farnesol, geraniol, limonene, linalool.
Plant origin: Indonesia
Extraction method: Steam-distilled from the above-ground parts of Java citronella (Cymbopogon winterianus).
Botanical background: Java citronella is a herbaceous plant whose erect, upright leaves can grow up to 2 meters long.
History: Since it originates from Southeast Asia, it is a very popular ingredient in local cuisine. In addition, it is used in perfumes, cosmetics, and natural medicines.
Aromatherapy use idea: use it as a natural mosquito repellent or to treat skin irritations caused by insect bites.
Mosquito repellent: 2 ml Java citronella essential oil, 2 ml lemon eucalyptus essential oil, and 30 ml vegetable oil (e.g., calendula oil).
Precautions for use:
Flammable. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with the product and eyes. Use of the product is not recommended for children under 3 years of age, pregnant women, or breastfeeding women. It is safer to avoid applying cosmetics containing essential oils to the skin before sunbathing or using a tanning bed. Do not use undiluted on the skin. Essential oils are recommended for external use only.
