Commiphora myrrha: 100% pure and natural
Main constituents: furanoeudesma-1,3-diene, curzerene, lindestrene.
Potential allergenic components: none
Plant origin: Somalia
Extraction method: By steam distillation of the resin of myrrh (Commiphora myrrha).
Botanical background: Myrrh essential oil is made from the Somali balsam tree. The approximately 10-meter-tall tree has a low, thick trunk with grayish-yellow coloring. Its compound leaves are small, and the leaflets have pointed tips. Its white or greenish flowers are small.
History: Myrrh and myrrh oil have been highly valued since ancient times; in Egypt, for example, they were also used to embalm the dead.
Aromatherapy use idea: It stimulates the senses, promotes the achievement of a meditative state, and is also used for the aftercare of mental injuries.
For treating bedsores and boils: Massage 10 drops of myrrh essential oil and 50 drops of vegetable oil into the area of skin to be treated.
Precautions for use:
Flammable. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with the eyes. Use of the product is not recommended for children under 3 years of age, pregnant women, or breastfeeding women. It is safer to avoid applying cosmetics containing essential oils to the skin before sunbathing or using a tanning bed. Do not use undiluted on the skin. Essential oils are intended for external use only.
