Vetiveria zizanoïdes: 100% pure and natural
Main constituents: khusimol, isovalencenol.
Possible allergenic components: none
Plant origin: Madagascar
Extraction method: By steam distillation of the roots and rhizomes of Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides).
Botanical background: Vetiver is a type of grass that grows up to 2 meters tall, with roots extending 3 meters deep.
History: Vetiver comes from the tropical and marshy regions of India. It is used as a material for weaving scented rugs and mattresses, and as an ingredient in perfumes with a masculine fragrance profile.
Aromatherapy use idea: to create a sensual atmosphere and relieve stress.
To combat restlessness: 4 drops of vetiver essential oil and 8 drops of vegetable oil (e.g. sesame oil), massaged into the wrist.
Precautions for use:
Flammable. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with the product and eyes. Use of the product is not recommended for children under 3 years of age, pregnant women, or breastfeeding women. To be safer, avoid applying cosmetics containing essential oils to the skin before sun exposure or using a tanning bed. Do not use undiluted on the skin. Essential oils are recommended for external use only.
