Peppermint is a hybrid mint species, a cross between watermint and spearmint. The plant is native to Europe and the Middle East, but today it is widely distributed and cultivated in many regions of the world. In the wild, it can occasionally be found together with its parent species. Preparation: Pour 2dl of hot water over 1 teaspoon of peppermint leaves, then cover and let it steep for 10-15 minutes.
