Lemon balm - Melissa officinalis

It is primarily known for its nerve-strengthening and calming effects. It is used for sleep disorders, mild depression, soothing the nerves, and heart complaints of nervous origin. It stimulates liver function, improves digestion, and is anti-bloating. It also has a diaphoretic effect. It regulates thyroid function and reduces nervousness caused by hyperthyroidism. It is also suitable for reducing premenstrual tension.

Preparation: Pour 2.5 dl of boiling water over one level tablespoon (3 g) of tea leaves and strain after 15 minutes. Do not use a metal strainer. Sweeten to taste.
