The blend supports urinary tract function by flushing the urinary system. The component used in the largest quantity is goldenrod, but it also contains nettle, well-known for its diuretic effect, as well as birch leaf and bearberry leaf.

The beneficial effect of goldenrod tea on urinary tract health can already be found in medieval herbals. In folk medicine, nettle leaf extract is used internally as a diuretic and for the treatment of joint pain, respiratory and urinary tract disorders, digestive complaints, and diabetes, and externally against oily hair and dandruff. Due to its diuretic effect, nettle tea is a staple of so-called "cleansing cures." The other ingredients are long-known and proven herbs with kidney-cleansing (kidney-flushing) effects.
