The purplish-red dulse is one of the most popular sea vegetables in the Atlantic Ocean. Its soft texture and naturally delicious umami flavor make it an appetizing addition to many dishes, including salads, soups, and stir-fries. It can be dry-fried or lightly pan-fried after rehydration, and it can add extra flavor to dishes or be used as a garnish.
