Detailed product description
A silky-textured, gluten-free flour. It is usually mixed with other flours for baking. Rice flour is well-suited for shortcrust and crumbly doughs, but can also be used for dumplings, pancakes, and cream soups. It is also excellent for sweet pastries and can be used to thicken sauces. Rice flour is also used to make rice noodles, a frequent ingredient in Chinese dishes. When added in small quantities to buttery shortcrust pastry, it makes it exceptionally crumbly and soft, giving it a "melt-in-the-mouth" feel. It makes yeast-leavened doughs fuller and denser.
