Gelatin is the most common gelling agent due to its wide range of applications. It can be used, among other things, for making gummy candies, puddings, aspics, desserts (e.g., panna cotta), and for thickening soups and sauces.

Preparation: It is typically recommended to use 6 grams of gelatin for half a portion of cream, while using 9 grams will result in a firm, sliceable consistency.
