Detailed product description
Comfrey - Symphytum officinale
A poultice made from comfrey aids in the healing of bone fractures, strains, bruises, dislocations, and sprains. Compresses made with a paste from comfrey flour are also a well-proven method for treating muscle, nerve, and tendon sheath inflammation. One of its main active ingredients, allantoin, stimulates blood circulation and enhances cell regeneration processes.
An extract made from the root via maceration is an effective bone strengthener and promotes callus formation in the case of fractures. Its epithelial and cell-forming properties stimulate wound healing. It is also excellent for phlebitis, and it is recommended as a throat gargle as well.
Preparation: For a compress, boil 100 grams of chopped comfrey root in 1 liter of water for approximately 10 minutes, then strain. Apply a warm compress made from the decoction to the injured body part. Do not use on open wounds! Due to its toxicity, do not take internally!
