Why is WTN Folate also available as a drop-form dietary supplement?

The drop form is faster to use and is absorbed more effectively than capsules. WTN Folate Drops are absorbed immediately when placed under the tongue, and they are easier and more convenient to use for those who wish to take a larger amount.

Folic acid, dietary folate, and methylfolate

Folic acid and folate are often (although incorrectly) referred to as synonyms. Unfortunately, this is a major mistake, because there is a huge biological difference between them. It is therefore worth being aware of these differences so that products containing these active ingredients can be correctly understood and used in practice.

Folic acid (pteroyl-L-glutamic acid) is the synthetic form of vitamin B9, while dietary folate is the natural form of vitamin B9 (tetrahydrofolate) found in foods. However, neither is the form that the body can use completely straight away! These molecules must be converted into an active state through several steps before our bodies can use them (Figure 1). The active form of vitamin B9 is methylfolate. This is the only form the body can use directly (this active form is contained in the WTN Folate Complex).

Active ingredients: in 6 drops:
Vitamin B9 (L-5-MTHF, glucosamine folate salt) 1025 mcg 500 %
Vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin) 115 mcg 4000 %
Ingredients: purified water, organic glycerin, (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolate, methylcobalamin.
Dosage:

• Recommended amount: 6 drops of liquid daily, placed under the tongue or mixed into a glass of water.
• Preferably half an hour before the first main meal; in the case of a sensitive digestive system, take with a meal.

Warning: Our products are preservative-free, so contact between the product dropper and the tongue, oral cavity, etc. may potentially increase the growth of pathogens in the product. This may cause a change in quality! Please take extra care to avoid contact with the dropper! Consumption of the dietary supplement does not replace a balanced, varied, mixed diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily amount. Keep the product out of the reach of children, in a dry, cool, dark place. If you are allergic or hypersensitive to any product ingredient, do not use the product! Before using liquid dietary supplements, it is advisable to perform a skin test to rule out sensitivity to the ingredients. The area behind the ear is ideal for this, as the skin there is very thin and sensitive. It is strongly recommended to separate taking dietary supplements from drinking coffee. It is advisable to take them at least half an hour before drinking coffee or at least 2 hours after drinking coffee. Taking dietary supplements with milk-based products is not recommended! If you take multiple dietary supplements, consult a professional about the order in which it is advisable to take them so that any potential antagonistic effects between the active ingredients do not occur. It is recommended to use the product in courses, unless your doctor or naturopath has advised otherwise.
