Detailed product description
Dandelion Root - Taraxacum Officinale
Bitter substances stimulate digestion, making dandelion an excellent appetite stimulant and digestive medicinal herb that also possesses anti-inflammatory properties. Research has proven that its active ingredients have a beneficial effect on the body in cases of gallbladder and liver ailments. Its tea has long been consumed as a diuretic and blood purifier, as it increases liver and kidney activity. Dandelion compresses are recommended for rheumatic complaints and aching joints.
Preparation: Tea: Boil 2 teaspoons of dandelion in 3 dl of water, simmer for 1 minute, and strain after 15 minutes. Consume 2 cups daily for a 6-week course. Compress: Place 3 tablespoons of dandelion root in 0.5 liters of water, bring to a boil, and simmer for 5 minutes, then make a paste, spread it onto a cloth, and apply it to the aching, sore joint. Syrup: Boil 2 tablespoons each of dandelion root and leaves in 2-3 dl of water, simmer for 1 minute from the time it starts to boil, then strain. Add 120-150 g of sugar to the decoction to thicken it into a syrup.
