Linden flower - Tiliae flos

Linden flower tea is recommended for febrile, cold-like conditions. It can be used for head colds, chronic cough, congestion of the lungs, bronchitis, and lower abdominal ailments that can be traced back to the kidneys. In these cases, the tea should always be consumed hot while in bed.

The linden tree is a plant with a very pleasant aroma, so adding it to bitter or poor-tasting herbal teas can slightly improve their flavor and, consequently, their palatability.

Preparation: Pour a cup (approx. 2 dl) of boiling water over one teaspoon (2-4g) of crushed flowers. Cover and let steep for 10 minutes. Strain before consuming. It can be sweetened with honey.
