Chromium is an essential trace element—our body cannot produce it—that can help maintain proper blood sugar levels by increasing the insulin sensitivity of cells, and it also plays a role in protein and fat metabolism.
As part of the glucose tolerance factor, chromium can increase the efficiency of insulin, allowing it to transport more sugar molecules from the bloodstream into the cells for energy supply, which can contribute to maintaining a balanced blood sugar level.
Due to its effect on blood sugar levels, its use may also be recommended in cases of carbohydrate metabolism disorders (e.g., insulin resistance, impaired glucose tolerance, diabetes, etc.)—following consultation with a physician.
It may be beneficial as a supplementary element to lifestyle therapy aimed at weight loss. One reason for this is its effect on blood sugar levels, and the other is its suspected appetite-suppressing effect. It is important to note that dietary supplements used on their own do not result in sustainable and healthy weight loss; they can only be complements to a complex lifestyle change (exercise, balanced nutrition, mental health).
According to some research, chromium may also affect blood lipid levels; for example, in cases of chromium deficiency, a decrease in HDL cholesterol has been observed in the blood.
We can supply our bodies with chromium through our diet, thereby ensuring our daily intake requirements. In addition, in cases of chromium deficiency or carbohydrate metabolism disorders, supplementation with the trace element in the form of a dietary supplement may be recommended.
Active ingredient: 1 dose - 3 pumps
Chromium (chromium-enriched inactive yeast) 100 mcg (NRV%* 250%)
Ingredients: purified water, chromium yeast, organic glycerin, moringa leaf extract, citric acid.
Dosage:
- Recommended amount: 3 pumps of liquid daily, sprayed under the tongue or mixed into a glass of water.
- If possible, half an hour before the first main meal; in case of a sensitive digestive system, with or after a meal.
Warning: Consumption of this dietary supplement does not replace a balanced, varied, mixed diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily amount. Keep the product out of the reach of children, in a dry, cool, dark place. Do not use the product if you are allergic or hypersensitive to any of its ingredients! It is highly recommended to separate the intake of dietary supplements from coffee consumption. It is advisable to take it at least half an hour before consuming coffee or at least 2 hours after consuming coffee. It is not recommended to take dietary supplements with milk-based products! If you are taking multiple dietary supplements, consult a professional about the recommended order of intake to avoid any potential canceling effects between the active ingredients. Its use is recommended in courses, unless otherwise advised by your physician or naturopath.
