Detailed product description

Litsea cubeba, also known as May chang, is an evergreen plant native to China and Indonesia. It grows wild in the highlands of Java and Sumatra and can survive at altitudes above 2000 meters. For this reason, it is also known as mountain pepper. Its essential oil, which has a scent reminiscent of lemon but fruitier and spicier, is extracted from its green, pepper-sized fruit by steam distillation.
