Detailed product description
Bearberry leaf - Uvae ursi folium
It has long been used in folk medicine for urinary tract infections and to alleviate urinary symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate. It has anti-inflammatory and diuretic effects. It also lowers blood pressure.
Due to its high tannin content, it has an astringent effect, so it can also be applied externally to slow-healing wounds. Because of its tannin content, it may cause stomach upset in more sensitive individuals, so if you experience such symptoms, discontinue the bearberry leaf tea treatment.
It stops diarrhea.
Preparation: Bearberry leaf tea is prepared by cold maceration. Let 3 teaspoons of bearberry leaves soak in 1.5 dl of cold water for 6-12 hours, then strain and warm it up slightly before consumption. Do not use for more than 5 consecutive days!
Contraindications: Consumption of bearberry leaf tea is not recommended for longer than 5 days, as it can be toxic in large quantities and may lead to liver damage. No side effects occur when consuming the tea short-term and in the appropriate amount. It is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for children under 12 years of age!
