Rice is an ancient and popular staple food, the primary source of nutrition for more than half of humanity. White rice is not a separate variety; it differs from brown rice only in that the bran and germ are removed during processing. Since this also reduces the fat content of the rice grains, the resulting product has a longer shelf life as it does not go rancid. When making the porridge, we do not add any additives to the rice, nor do we remove anything from it, so all the nutrients naturally found in rice are preserved in the porridge. This means you can enjoy this nutritious, complex carbohydrate-rich grain not just as a side dish, but for breakfast as well!
