Our popular sushi ginger is now available with organic certification. Clearspring Sushi Ginger stimulates the appetite and awakens the taste buds with its fresh, piquant flavor. It can be eaten straight from the pack and gets its name from being served almost exclusively with sushi or sashimi to cleanse the palate between bites.
Clearspring Sushi Ginger pairs well with both Western and Asian dishes. Slice it up and add it to salads, fried rice or noodles, and stir-fries, or use it straight from the pack as the perfect accompaniment to tempura and other fried foods, fish, and, of course, sushi!
Made from delicious, young, tender ginger root, it is thinly sliced, lightly salted, and pickled in high-quality rice vinegar. It is unsweetened, and its color is derived naturally from red shiso leaves. In contrast, the pickled ginger found in sushi bars and takeaway sushi packs almost always contains sugar, artificial coloring, and cheap vinegar.
