During the development of our tahini, we experimented with sesame seeds from countless countries. When an Arab partner who was fanatical about hummus called us after we had sent him samples to taste and said it was the best sesame paste he had ever tasted, we felt a little reassured that we were on the right track.

Although it is not widely known, Nigerian sesame is among the highest-quality sesame seeds in the world. Compared with seeds from India and other more “well-known” origins, these small seeds have a more distinctive, intense flavor. Thanks to their special preparation, we have succeeded in making an intensely flavored, pourable cream with a very smooth texture.

It is an excellent ingredient for hummus, but it can also be used to make fruit bars and other delicacies.
