Chickweed - Stellariae herba

Chickweed is an excellent medicinal herb with blood-purifying and detoxifying effects; furthermore, it lowers cholesterol levels. It is a popular ingredient in detoxifying and choleretic tea blends.

Due to its blood-purifying effect, its consumption is also recommended for rheumatism, gout, eczema, and acne-prone skin. Its tea stimulates bile and kidney function. It is also an excellent immune booster.

Preparation: Pour boiling water over 1 level tablespoon of chickweed, cover, and let steep for 5 minutes. Strain and sip without adding sweeteners half an hour before meals. The maximum daily dose is 3 cups.
