Plantain leaf - Plantaginis folium

Plantain leaf tea has long been used in folk medicine for upper respiratory tract conditions, primarily to suppress coughs. It coats the throat's mucous membrane, thereby protecting it from further irritation and accelerating its regeneration, while also reducing inflammation and soothing the urge to cough. It is also suitable for alleviating reflux.

Preparation: Pour 2.5 dl of boiling water over one teaspoon of plantain leaf, then let it steep covered for 5 minutes. After straining, it can be consumed plain or sweetened with honey, up to 2 mugs per day.
